Small Note:

I studied the outdoor retreat on more than a few occasions. Once between 2015 - 2017, while living in Sweden, where this typology is very common as a home away from home in the astonishing landscapes of this country.

On a second occasion, as a competition, I reworked the designs for a microscale eco-cabin approach as a single module that could be landed by helicopter in highly remote locations.

On a later occasion, I recall working with an Australian architect who was developing a few variations of modular holiday homes for his home country.

Those studies revealed the fact that this typology is defined by the International Style, rather than the style of the local. The Australian design resembled quite closely the Swedish design. My Australian collaborator  was constantly pointing to common elements: prefabricated walls, large curtain walls, generous roofs - flat or slightly inclined, terraces, choice of materials, even the interior functionality.

Obviously, my personal design database grew big enough to enable me to study with Midjourney using my own sketches and variations. Here are a few of those A.I. works.
